What styles of dance we can book

Our roster includes professional dancers trained in contemporary, ballet, Latin, hip hop, flamenco, belly dance, capoeira, tanoura, street jazz, and many other styles. We also arrange flash mobs, costume performances with choreography, and custom shows built around your event theme. Most dancers specialise in one or two styles but some crossover into multiple disciplines. If you have a specific music genre or dance aesthetic in mind, tell us and we can either draw from our existing team or recommend a choreographer to develop something custom.

2. London venues and lead times

Booking dancers for London events

We book dancers for London hotel ballrooms on Park Lane, Mayfair and around Knightsbridge, City livery halls and boardrooms, warehouse venues in Hackney and Shoreditch, country houses in Surrey and Kent, marquee weddings, Thames river boats, and gastropubs across Zone 1 and Zone 2. For a typical London event, lead time is two to four weeks. Rush bookings within seven to ten days are possible if you are flexible on dancer selection or style. The sooner you contact us, the more choice you have.

London events often have strict curfews. Hotel venues typically stop late performances by 11pm or 11:30pm. Warehouse venues may run later but neighbors and council licensing can limit noise after midnight. Ask your venue about their curfew before you book the dancers so we can slot the performance into the right slot.

3. Booking process

How to book dancers for your event

Tell us the date, venue name, town or city, expected guest count, and the style or feel you want. If you have a specific song or genre in mind, mention it. We will confirm availability, discuss performance length and any choreography you need, and send a quote. Most venues will ask us for Public Liability Insurance details and sometimes a risk assessment, especially for staged performances or high-energy pieces. We provide both as standard. Once you confirm, we send you a contract and confirm the dancers assigned.

About two weeks before the event, the lead dancer or choreographer will contact you to finalize music tracks, any costume details, and technical setup. We also need to know the stage or performance space size, access times, and whether sound and lighting are included or if we need to bring our own kit.

4. Performance length and stage needs

Performance length and technical requirements

Most dance performances run between five and twenty minutes. A solo dancer or small duo can work in tight spaces; larger ensembles need clear floor space of at least four meters by four meters, ideally more for fast choreography. Some performances work best on a proper stage with height, others work equally well on a cleared dance floor in your venue. Tell us what space you have and we will recommend a piece that suits it.

Performance Type Typical Length Minimum Space Stage Required
Solo dancer 5-10 minutes 2m x 2m No
Duo or trio 8-15 minutes 4m x 4m No
Ensemble (4-6 dancers) 10-20 minutes 6m x 6m Recommended
Flash mob (large ensemble) 3-5 minutes Varies with concept No

Sound and lighting depend on the venue and performance. Many hotels and event spaces have a house system; we can usually connect our audio into it. Some dancers perform with pre-recorded backing tracks; others work with live musicians. If you are also hiring musicians, let us know because we can sometimes choreograph the dancers to live music for a more integrated feel. We can also work with your DJ or band if they are already booked.

Power sockets for a small speaker or microphone are usually enough. LED costumes or special lighting effects require their own power and briefing with your venue's technical team, especially in older buildings or fire-code-restricted spaces like listed venues.

5. Pricing

Dancer booking fees and what affects price

Cost depends on four things: how many dancers, how long they perform, how far they travel, and whether choreography is custom or from our existing library. A solo dancer performing a standard ten-minute set in central London starts around 300 to 500 pounds. A trio or small ensemble typically runs 600 to 1,200 pounds. Custom choreography, costume design, and full production pieces run higher and need a custom quote.

Travel outside London adds cost. A dancer hired for a venue in Surrey or Kent typically adds 50 to 100 pounds for fuel and time. Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh or Glasgow events require overnight accommodation or very early starts; we will advise when you get in touch.

Rush bookings within seven days and custom choreography both increase cost. Standard lead time pricing is lower than rush rates. We also offer package deals if you are hiring dancers plus musicians or other entertainment; ask us when you quote.

These are guide ranges. Confirm your specific cost by sending your event details through our contact form or by email.

6. Booking dancers across the UK

Hiring dancers outside London

We book performers across the UK. Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Liverpool have their own pools of dancers so lead time and cost remain competitive. Country house venues in the Cotswolds, Peak District or Scottish Highlands are within reach; cost increases with distance and we typically ask for longer lead time. If your venue is more than ninety minutes from London, tell us early so we can source dancers locally or arrange logistics.

Edinburgh and Glasgow have strong dance communities. Bristol and coastal venues in Devon and Cornwall are bookable but pricing reflects travel. Rural venues with limited accommodation nearby require earlier planning. We have worked with venues across the UK and know what works; if your location is tricky, we will tell you upfront.

Do you book dancers for weddings?

Yes. We book first dances for couples, entertainment during dinner or cocktail hour, flashmob surprises, and full performance pieces. Weddings usually have more flexible timing than corporate events and we can work around your schedule and photographer. If you want a live musician to accompany the dancers, see our page on hiring musicians in London for more options, or let us know and we can source both together.

Can dancers perform at a private party or small gathering?

Yes. Private parties, milestone birthday celebrations, anniversaries and small house parties all work. Space is more limited in homes so we usually recommend a solo dancer or duo rather than a large ensemble. Tell us the room size and we can suggest what fits. Noise and timing matter more in residential settings; make sure your neighbors and local council rules allow evening events.

Do you provide dancers for corporate team building or corporate entertainment?

Yes. We arrange corporate entertainment including dance performances for company events, product launches, awards ceremonies and team celebrations. We also offer interactive dance workshops where your staff learn choreography alongside the performers. See our corporate entertainment page for more details and other act types we can book.

What insurance and paperwork do venues ask for?

Most venues ask for Public Liability Insurance (PLI) certificate showing at least one million pounds cover. Some larger venues or those with risk management teams may ask for a method statement or risk assessment, especially if the performance is staged or involves special effects. We provide both as standard and can send them in advance. This rarely holds up a booking but it is worth mentioning to us early so we have time to prepare documents if your venue needs them.

How soon do you need to know details like music and choreography?

We need final music tracks and any custom choreography requests at least two weeks before the event. Costume changes, special props, or complex staging should be locked in at the same point. If you are not sure exactly what you want, we can advise based on your venue, guest count and vibe, and suggest a performance from our existing list that fits well. Last-minute tweaks are fine; major changes that need new rehearsal time will affect cost.

Can dancers perform at the same time as a live band or DJ?

Yes. We regularly choreograph dancers to live music. If you are already hiring a live band, tell us the style and we can create choreography to match. If you have a DJ, dancers can perform to a pre-recorded track at a set time, or improvise around the DJ's set. For smooth integration, it helps to brief the DJ or band in advance. We have worked with many musicians across London and the UK; if you want us to recommend or coordinate with them, mention it when you quote.
