Hire Bubble Show in London and the UK for your event

A bubble show fills a room, holds every eye and works for guests aged three to ninety.

Quick answer

A bubble show hire typically runs 15 to 30 minutes and costs between 400 and 800 GBP for a London event (guide range to confirm with a quote). The performer needs a stage or clear floor space about 4m x 4m, 2.5m ceiling clearance and a single power socket. We book bubble show acts across London, the South East, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh and nationwide to hotels, wedding venues, corporate events and private parties.

1. What a bubble show includes

What a bubble show includes

A bubble show is a live performance where an artist creates large, floating bubbles using wands, hoops, nets and often comedy or music. The performer works close to the audience, sometimes inviting guests to step inside giant bubbles or catch floating shapes. Shows are visual, almost silent, so they work during dinner or in noisy venues. Most acts run 15, 20 or 30 minutes depending on your event length and budget.

The act suits weddings, corporate gala dinners, children's parties, hotel launches, anniversary events and private celebrations. Guests remember it. Photographers get good shots. The performance needs no special sound system because the magic is in what people see.

2. Where we book bubble shows

Where we book bubble shows

We place bubble show performers across the UK. In London, we work regularly with hotel ballrooms in Mayfair and Park Lane, City livery halls, warehouse venues in East London, rooftop spaces and Thames riverboat venues. Outside London, we book acts into country houses in the Cotswolds, hotel venues in Manchester and Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow city centre hotels, Bristol waterfront venues and Leeds city centre spaces.

Bubble shows work best indoors or in a marquee where wind cannot disrupt the bubbles. A garden party is possible if there is shelter or very calm weather. For outdoor marquee weddings, we confirm the act will work with your marquee provider and ceiling height.

3. Bubble show technical requirements

Bubble show technical requirements

Keep these in mind when you book:

  • Floor space: A clear, level area about 4m x 4m. Hard floors (wood, stone, vinyl) are ideal. Carpet is fine but the performer needs a mat or board to stand on.
  • Ceiling: 2.5 to 3 metres clear height minimum so bubbles float freely.
  • Power: One standard 13A power socket within 5 metres of the performance space (for a lamp or music system if the act uses it).
  • Surface: The bubble solution can mark some fabrics if it splashes. We tell your venue in advance and use protective coverings if needed.
  • Guest proximity: The performer works close to audiences, so sightlines must be clear and guests need room to move back if invited to participate.

Most bubble show acts travel with their own equipment and music system. Let us know your stage setup, any height restrictions or specific layout when you enquire so we confirm everything fits.

4. Bubbles bartending and cabaret hybrid acts

Bubbles bartending and cabaret hybrid acts

Some performers combine a bubble show with bartending or cabaret elements. A bubbles bartending act creates bubbles while pouring drinks or working a bar backdrop, blending mixology with the visual spectacle. These hybrid performances suit cocktail receptions, gala dinners and product launches where you want entertainment that does not stop the event flow.

Pricing and technical needs differ slightly (bartending acts need access to a bar or table, running water, and space for guests to queue). If you are interested in a mixed act, tell us when you enquire and we will discuss options and budget.

5. Booking process and lead times

Booking process and lead times

We recommend booking entertainment at least 4 to 6 weeks ahead for London events, and 6 to 8 weeks for UK regional bookings. For peak summer wedding season (May to September) or December corporate events, book 8 to 12 weeks in advance.

When you contact us, have ready:

  • Event date and time
  • Venue name and town or city
  • Expected guest count
  • Event type (wedding, corporate, private party, etc)
  • Performance length you prefer (15, 20 or 30 minutes)
  • Any special requests (outdoor, hybrid with another act, specific music)

We send a quote usually within 24 hours. Once you confirm, we take a deposit to secure the act and send you a contract with full cancellation terms, insurance details and the performer's contact information so you can liaise directly as the event date approaches.

Venues often ask for proof of public liability insurance. Our performers carry full PLI coverage (typically 6 to 10 million GBP cover) and we send documentation to your venue when required. If your venue has a risk assessment form, let us know and we complete it.

6. Pricing and what affects the cost

Pricing and what affects the cost

Element Impact on price
Performance length 15 minutes costs less than 20 or 30 minutes. Most acts quote per minute or in tiered lengths.
Location London events typically cost 400 to 800 GBP (guide range). South East slightly less. Manchester, Birmingham and Scotland pricing varies by distance from the performer's base.
Travel time If your venue is more than 90 minutes from central London, travel costs may apply.
Event type Corporate and private events usually pay more than children's parties. Wedding premium often applies (evening slots, peak season).
Setup and sound If you need the performer to coordinate with your DJ, caterer or other acts, this is built into the quote.

Prices shown are guide ranges. Confirm exact cost when you request a quote, as availability and specific requirements affect the final fee.

Frequently asked questions

Can a bubble show work outdoors?

Outdoor performances are risky because even light wind disrupts bubbles. A marquee or covered outdoor space with stable conditions is possible. Always confirm with the performer beforehand. Indoor venues are far more reliable and the visual impact is sharper indoors.

Is the bubble solution safe for children?

Yes. Professional bubble solutions are non-toxic, hypoallergenic and designed for events where children are present. Bubbles burst naturally on skin and clothing. If a child has sensitive skin or a known allergy, mention it when you book so the performer knows to take extra care or use an alternative formulation.

Do I need sound and lighting for a bubble show?

No. A bubble show works without any technical setup. Many performers bring subtle background music or work in silence. If your event has a lighting rig or DJ, we can incorporate the bubble act into your running order. Let us know your setup and we coordinate.

How far in advance should I book?

Aim for 4 to 6 weeks for London, 6 to 8 weeks for the rest of the UK. Peak season (summer weddings, December corporate) needs 8 to 12 weeks. Last-minute bookings sometimes work if the performer is available, but do not rely on it.

What if the event is cancelled or postponed?

Our standard terms allow a full refund if you cancel more than 30 days before the event. Between 7 and 30 days, you forfeit 50 percent of the fee. Within 7 days, the full fee is due. Postponement to another date within 12 months is usually treated as a rescheduling with no extra charge (subject to availability). Full cancellation terms are in the contract we send.

Can you mix a bubble show with other entertainment?

Yes. We often book performers alongside dancers, live musicians or children's entertainers. A typical flow might be: welcome act (musician), dinner (low-key background), then a bubble show, then dancing. We coordinate timing and logistics so each act complements the others. Tell us your event shape and we suggest options.

One mistake to avoid: Booking a bubble performer with less than 4 weeks notice in peak season. Even if the act is available, you lose negotiating room on price and cannot confirm well in advance with your venue, catering team or other suppliers. Book early and your event runs smoother.

Send the event date, venue name, town or city and guest count to our contact form or email [email protected] for a quote. We reply within one working day.
